The Design Express Milaan was very successful! From April 16 -21, the Salone del Mobile took place in Milan. It’s the biggest furniture fair in the world, an event unlike any other, anywhere in the world.

The 'Design Express Milaan', 10 caravan re-designed by talented designers, departed from Eindhoven. Together with Emily Hermans, Daphna Isaacs, Job Martens and Dries van Wagenberg, Mieke participated in the caravan of the '4 Apostelen' (www.4apostelen.nl). In just 4 weeks tehy transformed a ‘KIP Goldstream’ into a new vehicle where inside and outside come together.
Being a multi-disiplinary team, they combined precious knitwork with rough-made furniture. They played with materials, techniques and scale. The result was an out-of-the box centerpiece in which they showed their newest designs!

The project 'Nudes' has also been exhibited in Milan during the Salone del Mobile.  The exhibition 'Still' by the Design Academy Eindhoven was located at Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Via Matteo Bandello 14-16.

Dutch Invertuals presents new work originating from medieval wood which over 600 years ago served as the foundation for the Eindhoven city entrance.

From September 18-26, The Londen Design Festival takes place. On invitation of Mint, a famous interiour design store, Mieke Meijer presents two interior objects based on industrial archeology.

From April 14-19, Dutch Invertuals presented  both new and evolved pieces of work in Milan. The exhibition took place at fashion label Verger, Via Varese 1 Milan. Mieke presented new work entitled Industrial Archeology.
